Welcome to Kaizen Massage with Abbie
I offer massage & natural treatments from my cosy home in Boughton Monchelsea, Maidstone and The Humble Heart in St Leonards, Hastings (While transitioning to Boughton Monchelsea).
I've been massaging for over 8 years now, and in that time I've helped hundreds of people to relax, relieve their tension, reduce their pain and live a happier, calmer life.
I started out offering relaxing massage but soon realised that so many people are walking around in pain and wanted to help them further, so I continued to study other styles of massage including Clinical and sports massage for the treatment of chronic pain and injury.
I have a wealth of experience and a wide range of techniques, taken from Eastern & Western styles which I combine to tailor the treatment to you on the day.
Techniques include:
Thai compressions
Swedish massage
Deep tissue massage
Myofascial release
Trigger point therapy
Acupressure points
Gentle stretches and more
More information on these techniques can be found on the Massage page.
Below is a review from one of my clients who booked the head ritual treatment, I tailored the treatment to what she needed.
Wow, what an amazing experience I had today. I have been suffering with Migraines for a long time and Abbie took the time to do a full consultation, went through the triggers in my muscles and the tension points and then did the most amazing back, neck & shoulder and head massage. She went above and beyond and even did the muscle for my TMJ. Couldn't be happier, thank you so much Abbie. Can't wait for the next one! Highly recommend. Also, what a lovely relaxing environment to have a massage in, definitely needed!
Kaizen Massage Review
"What your mind doesn't process, your body will"
I work holistically, which means I'm treating you as a whole person, taking into account physical AND emotional factors.
Physical demands such as jobs, hobbies and lifestyles put pressure on our bodies, but most people don't realise that emotional stress and trauma can manifest as physical symptoms too, such as pain, trigger points, skin conditions and digestion issues.
That's why every treatment is tailored to your needs, with relaxation being at the heart of the treatment. Calming your nervous system and allowing your body to let go of what it's holding onto.

KAIZEN;
CHANGE FOR BETTER
A Japanese philosophy about making small, manageable changes that will have a positive effect over time.
Making time for self care is a small change you can make for yourself that will have amazing benefits both physically and mentally.
If we don't make time for self care, we can feel exhausted, overworked, burnt out, stressed, in pain, low mood and irritable, which has a negative impact on everything else.
Booking a treatment is taking a step towards relieving these symptoms and living a happier, calmer life.
