Every 'body' tells a story
Every one is living their own lives and has a different story to tell.
Life takes its toll and our bodies keep the score
With busy lifestyles, jobs, commitments, families, hobbies, stresses and trauma, it's all having an effect and we need to make our wellbeing a priority.
As with most things, massage is not a one size fits all. Which is why I combine techniques from all my training, tailoring the massage to your needs, so you get the most out of your treatment, where you feel listened to and leave feeling better than when you arrived.
Are you looking to purely relax?
Do you have any areas of concern or pain that you'd like me to work on?
Are there any areas of the body that you don't like being worked on?
I have studied many areas of massage so I can provide tailored treatments for your individual needs;
Swedish massage
Deep tissue
Massage & bodywork
Clinical & sports massage for the treatment of chronic pain & injury
Hot stone massage
I don't work to a routine or separate the different massage styles, instead I combine Swedish massage with deep tissue and incorporate various techniques from all of my training such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy, gentle stretches, acupressure points and more (More information on these techniques can be found below)
Which I find works best, allowing me to truly tailor the treatment to you and give you the best possible outcome
It's your massage and I want you to get the most out of it
You can even choose the areas, for example one of my clients just likes her head and feet massaged, just let me know and I work to you
I take a holistic approach with my treatments, meaning I take into account the physical and emotional factors that could be having an affect on you, as the saying goes;
"The issues are not always in the tissues"
Emotion and stress can manifest as physical symptoms too
PROFESSIONAL MASSAGE ONLY!
60 minutes £70
90 minutes £105
120 minutes £140
Some of the techniques I use include:
Swedish Massage
Relaxing massage strokes and techniques to soothe, release and warm the muscles
Deep tissue
Using slow strokes and sustained pressure to work deeper into the tissues and through the muscle layers
Myofascial release
Fascia is a layer of connective tissue that sits under our skin, it can get stuck in areas and restrict movement, techniques to release this can be very powerful, release restricted areas and allow surrounding muscles to move more freely
Trigger point therapy
Trigger points are restrictions in muscles that can cause pain and limit movement of a muscle. They usually have a characteristic pain pattern and can refer pain to other areas in the body
Due to their pain patterns, they can quite often be misdiagnosed as other conditions such as Carpal tunnel, Sciatica, Angina
Gentle stretches
Incorporating gentle stretches into your treatment feels amazing, giving your muscles a lovely stretch and helping them to release even more
Targeted stretches are used for injury recovery
Acupressure points
Holding Acupressure points brings a sense of calm, helps you to relax even further and releases blocked energy
